Hello Again!

This month’s benefit will again be hosted at Ras Kassa’s and will be for another local project, this time for Lafayette’s cancer patients, prevention, and survivors. 2017’s Relay for Life is just around the corner and we’re so happy to be in partnership with the City of Lafayette to help make it one of the best, yet, because there’s still a lot to do!

It all begins Friday, August 11th @8:30PM, with the BaoBao Festival Dance & Drumming Troupe, performing all night. You’ll be able to order from an extended Happy Hour menu knowing that your proceeds will go directly toward Lafayette’s Relay for Life totals. Then, join those of us doing the relay, the next day, beginning at 4pm and going til midnight!

See you at the benefit show on the 2nd Friday of the month!

Dear You,

As a community, we’ve come together to host events, sponsored by Ras Kassa’s, that can feed the people and the soul. The next is a refugee benefit:

A handful of organizations process virtually all the refugee cases in Colorado. Meanwhile, 65.3 million refugees worldwide now make up the largest refugee crisis in human history. As Africans, our community is no stranger to the challenges of displacement, suffering, fear and pain that come with geopolitical turmoil. And our heritage and values also mean that we understand the importance of the philosophy, “We don’t have much, but we share what we have.”

Our new community in Lafayette has been such a warm and welcoming home. We want to make sure to translate our culture and our gratitude into the small actions we all can take to welcome and comfort our newest neighbors from our oldest parts of the world.

Join us for this special evening of music, dance, food & drink as we raise proceeds every month for Colorado’s best and brightest refugee resettlement and advocacy nonprofits. We’re so fortunate to have Selasee & The Fafa Family, fresh from their Red Rocks show, playing for us all night. Admission is free and the money we raise will all be a percentage of sales on our Happy Hour food and drink menu. Our current recipients will be the African Community Center of Denver and Project Worthmore. Please do go to their pages, donate, and let us know you did.
